All right, I’ve been working toward the quest cape for about 2.5 decades now and I constantly get told that they’re so simple to get. Much simpler and quicker than most, or even all 99 abilities, depending upon the individual telling me. I got told that today, and I was quite bored, so I decided to OSRS gold do some calculations. Just adding up the good skill requirements which you want, in regards to 11,492,440 experience. That is just equal of below level 98 in any one skill. But wait a minute, there is a level 85 battle requirement as well. The ability requirements only say 40 attack, 65 defense, 69 strength, 55 prayer, 75 magical, 75 ranged, and 41 summoning. To receive 85 battle, you have to bump attack and hp to 60 and 61. That brings the entire minimum xp to 12,030,092.
But wait, there’s more. To be reasonable, if you have 65 defense and 69 strength and 75 triumphed, you’re likely going to have zero less than 65 assault and 70-75 hp (depending on how you train). That’s still only level 89, and you’re likely to have a real tough time getting the pursuit cape at the level.
Remember that a 99 in any ability is 13,034,431 xp. I assert that the coaching for a quest cape is as hard as most 99’s. Quite a bit harder even, if you believe that most of this training is at the lower levels. Compare it to training to 99 range in f2p. It is much, much harder to get 13M xp without the advantages of things that open up in greater levels that member skillers so frequently take for granted.
But wait, coaching is not everything that you have to do to receive a pursuit cape, is it? No, you have to really do the quests! Let us perform a rough estimate a moment. There are 159 quests, so they probably take an average of an hour each if using a guide (they do for me anyhow ). Even if you’re a diehard RuneScape participant and play with 4 hours a day 7 days per week, it’ll still take you 5 weeks and 5 days to complete them all. Now assume an average of 10 minutes between each one to get prepared for the quest, that bumps it around 6 weeks and 5 days. Simply doing the quests after you have all of the training done takes longer than fletching or cooking! That really makes it look shorter than Old School RuneScape Gold it really is. If you are more like me, and perform about 7 hours each week, it’ll take 26 weeks and 4 days, or about 5.5 weeks.
